Burkholderia pseudomallei is a gram-negative, motile, facultative anaerobic bacillus, typically found in soil and water. This bacterium is the causative agent of melioidosis. Here we present the complete genome sequence of the Burkholderia pseudomallei strain D22-10884_S313#20, isolated from a soil sample in Guadeloupe. It is the first available genome sequence of an environmental strain originating from this Caribbean island.
