This dataset contains performance data of users when receiving various types of counterfactual explanations (CFEs) during gameplay, alongside their knowledge extraction activities from automated systems. Specifically, the dataset includes performance metrics of participants divided into four groups based on the type of CFE they received: upward CFEs, downward CFEs, mixed CFEs, and the control group that did not receive any CFEs. Involving 161 participants, this study aims to explore the impact of different CFE types on user performance and knowledge extraction.
