Genome re-sequencing of Solanum melongena: leaves

Eggplant (Solanum melongena L., 2n=2x=24) belongs to the Solanaceae family Solanum L., an annual herbaceous plant that is an important vegetable of the Solanaceae family. We resequenced a batch of germplasm materials of eggplant and mined and screened core germplasm resources to ensure that they covered different genetic backgrounds and phenotypic expressions. By assembling and constructing a pangenome map of eggplant, the genomic genetic variation among the core germplasm materials of eggplant was studied, and the genetic diversity of the eggplant core germplasm was evaluated and summarized. Evolutionary analysis, population structure and kinship analysis were carried out, and the genetic law of important eggplant traits was analyzed via a genome-wide association study (GWAS).
