In the current study, we have successfully prepared two new Yb(III)-based coordination polymers with the chemical formulae of {[Yb(cptz)<sub>2</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>4</sub>]·NO<sub>3</sub>}<sub>n</sub> (<b>1</b>, Hcptz = (4-carboxylphenyl)-3-(prazin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole) and {[Yb(Hpbdz)(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>]·H<sub>2</sub>O}<sub>n</sub> (<b>2</b>, H<sub>4</sub>pbdz = 1,1′-(propane-1,3-diyl)bis(1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid) under hydrothermal conditions by using two N-heterocyclic multidentate N, O-donor bridging ligands. In the biological functional study, the promotion activity of compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> on the treatment effect of the seventy-flavor pearl pills on the cerebral ischemic events was evaluated <i>in vivo</i>. Firstly, the content of dopamine and 5-serotonin in the brain after compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> treatment was assessed by the ELISA detection kit. Then, the inhibitory effect of compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> on the inflammatory level in the brain was determined with the ROS detection kit.
