The dataset titled 'Us vs. Them' was created by the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) of the University of Amsterdam. It contains 6,861 Reddit comments annotated for populist attitudes. The comments cover support for, criticism of, and discriminatory attitudes towards specific social groups, as well as associated emotions. During the creation process, the research team relied on social science research to define populism and design the annotation protocol. This dataset aims to address the computational modeling of populism in political discourse, particularly its manifestations on social media.
