This dataset contains model output from the Community Terrestrial Systems Model, CTSM (corresponds to the Community Land Model version 5, CLM5), utilizing excess ground ice configuration (CTSM-EXICE) in the biogeochemistry (BGC) mode over the domain of the Arctic at 0.1° horizontal resolution using boundary conditions from a set of global and regional climate model (GCM-RCM) combinations: CNRM-ICON, NorESM-ICON, CNRM-HCLIM, and NorESM-HCLIM. For context, GCMs utilized were run at 1° resolution based on two selected storylines (CNRM-ESM2-1 - strong warming in the Barents-Kara Sea and weak Arctic amplification, and NorESM2-MM - weak warming in the Barents-Kara Sea and strong Arctic amplification) and the SSP3-7.0 scenario for the future simulations. ICON and HCLIM were run on 0.1° and used to downscale the respective storylines. This dataset provides outputs from four CTSM-EXICE simulations, each forced by one of the respective four forcings. The CTSM-EXICE simulations utilize the same projection (polar stereographic) and resolution (0.1°) as their forcings. Each simulation comprises a 390-year spin-up, a historical run (1985-2014), and a future simulation (2015-2099) following the SSP3-7.0 scenario. CTSM-EXICE spin-up is forced by historical output (1985-2014) from four forcing datasets. The repeatable cycling of these 30 years was done 13 times (390 years of spin-up). The historical and future CTSM-EXICE simulations were driven by the historical and future outputs from four forcings, respectively. Restart files are provided for all simulation stages. All files in this dataset are on a monthly resolution.
