Pantanal Fires - Barros-Rosa et al 2026

Dataset from the paper "Climatic and hydrological changes drive contemporary fire regime transitions in the world’s largest wetland" This dataset contains the processed time series used to investigate contemporary fire regime transitions in the Pantanal wetland (1985–2024). The data were aggregated to support trend analysis (Mann-Kendall), change-point detection, and integrated modeling (Elastic Net) to identify the drivers of fire dynamics (Burned Area, Mean Fire Size, and Seasonality). Notes: These data were processed from public domain resources including MapBiomas, USGS/NASA (Landsat) and ECMWF (ERA5). This consolidated version is intended to ensure the reproducibility of the results presented in the associated manuscript.
