Along-Track Statistics from the ICESat-2 Altimeter Generated from Horvat et al (2026)

Along-track sea ice statistics derived from ICESat-2 ATL07 sea ice segment data (versions 6 and 7) for the Southern Hemisphere Marginal Ice Zone (MIZ). Data are binned at 12.5 km resolution along each of the six ICESat-2 laser beams and referenced to the MIZ edge, defined by the 80% sea ice concentration contour from the NSIDC Climate Data Record (CDR/SSMI). Each record includes Linear Ice Fraction (LIF), Wave-Affected Fraction (WAF), sea surface height, height variance, floe size distribution metrics, and co-located sea ice concentration from two passive microwave products (AMSR2-NT2 and NSIDC-CDR). These data were produced using the analysis pipeline archived at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19338833 and support the figures and results in the associated manuscript.
