资源简介:
Big Log Rock Shelter 2 (24LC 2039), which is located in the Big Belt Mountains of Lewis and Clark County, Montana, exhibits three occupational levels. Artifacts representing the McKean complex, Pelican Lake complex, and Avonlea complex have been recovered. It is likely that intermittent occupation span several thousand years. Pollen analysis of samples collected stratigraphically through sediments that represent the past approximately 4500 years, provide a record of local and regional vegetation during this time. One Avonlea projectile point was submitted for protein residue analysis to identify the tool-use.
