Metagenomic analysis of Free-air CO2 enrichment (FACE) area

Microorganisms have a remarkable ability to mitigate elevated CO2 levels through carbon concentrating mechanisms (CCM). Free-air CO2 enrichment (FACE) experiments provide insight into plant behavior under heightened CO2 conditions in natural settings. Consequently, microorganisms in FACE regions experience sustained exposure to elevated CO2 concentrations.
