Statistical data of flow velocity and oil concentration for the assessment of ocean turbulence and oil plume coupled simulation capability

The current dataset contains statistical data from large eddy simulation of oil dispersion in upper ocean turbulence. Statistical profiles of mean velocity, velocity variances, and shear stresses are calculated and contained in the dataset for the assessment of simulation performance. The dataset also contains two sets of high-resolution three-dimensional data for the oil dispersion: one is an instantaneous snapshot with isosurfaces of oil concentration; and the other is a time-averaged field that represents the statistically steady state of the oil plume.
