资源简介:
The amphipod Caprella mutica, commonly known as the Japanese skeleton shrimp, has been introduced to many regions around the globe and also occurs in high abundances in marinas around Europe, mainly on floating hard structures such as buoys and aquaculture installations. Its European congeneric species, C. linearis, occurs at greater depths and is only rarely found on floating (intertidal) substrates in the North Atlantic. Here, a first draft version of the two species’ genomes will be reconstructed using the Illumina HiSeq and PacBio II platforms. These first draft genomes serve as a necessary basis for future population genomics and will allow preliminary genome annotation and genome comparisons with other non-native caprellids in the Mediterranean, e.g. Caprella scaura.
