Measuring Constituency Ideology Using Bayesian Universal Kriging

In this project, we develop measures of ideology for states, congressional districts, and state legislative districts in the United States. We do this using a training dataset from the 2008 Cooperative Congressional Election Study and a forecasting dataset from the 2010 Census. Readers who only want our output measures of public ideology in 2010 need only download four files: stateWholeKrigingFine.csv for the 50 states, congKrigingFine.csv for congressional districts, stateLowerKrigingFine.csv for lower chamber districts of state legislatures, stateUpperKrigingFine.csv for upper chamber districts of state legislatures.
