The influence of simvastatin on the activity of temozolomide in glioblastoma cells

<p>Temozolomide (TMZ) is a key chemotherapeutic drug used in the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most aggressive brain tumor. Unfortunately, its use often fails to produce the desired results due to various resistance mechanisms developed by GBM cells. The aim of this study is to investigate whether simvastatin, a lipid-lowering drug, can be used as a factor to enhance TMZ activity in GBM cells.</p>
