Brucella abortus delta bab1_1612 (eipA) Tn-seq data

The goal of this study was to define a set of genes in a Brucella abortus strain deleted for gene bab1_1612 (eipA) that cannot be disrupted by a Tn-Himar transposon. A comparison of this dataset to a Tn-seq dataset from wild-type B. abortus identifies genes that are synthetically lethal with gene eipA. Cells were cultured axenically in a complex medium and mutagenized using the barcoded Tn system described in Wetmore et al, 2015; doi: 10.1128/mBio.00306-15. Data contain the end of the transposon, with barcode, and reveal the junction between the transposon and the B. abortus chromosome.
