Estrogenic modulation of inflammation-related genes in male rats following volume overload

The purpose of this study was to determine whether estrogen had an effect on inflammation-related genes that contribute to this estrogen-mediated cardioprotection. Volume overload on the heart was induced by aortocaval fistula in 8 week old male Sprague Dawley rats and genes of interest in shams, fistula , and fistula +estrogen were identified using an inflammatory PCR array.本研究旨在明确雌激素是否对介导其心脏保护作用的炎症相关基因存在调控作用。本研究对8周龄雄性斯普拉格-道利（Sprague Dawley）大鼠采用主动脉腔静脉瘘（aortocaval fistula）造模以诱导心脏容量超负荷，随后通过炎症反应PCR芯片（inflammatory PCR array）对假手术组、瘘管造模组及瘘管+雌激素给药组的目标基因进行鉴定。
