This experiment utilized rat fibroblasts that are wild-type for c-Myc (TGR-1 cells) and null for c-Myc (HO15.19 cells). Both were treated treated with rapamycin for 24 hr (comparison group, vehicle control). Overall design: Cells were studied under conditions that supported proliferation. Rapamycin (50nM or DMSO vehicle control) was added for 24 hr after which RNA was prepared and analyzed.
