Automotive pillars are critical components in automotive body structures, playing a vital role in vehicle crash safety, NVH performance, and other key aspects. The surface roughness of pillars directly affects the vehicle's NVH performance and appearance quality, thus mandating strict detection and control. This dataset can conduct safety assessments on the conformity status of automotive pillar surface roughness, providing reference and technical support for government supervision and consumer safety protection. 1. Data Collection: Collect information such as the name and type of automotive test samples; 2. Qualified Detection of Automotive Pillar Surface Roughness: Obtain relevant data results by detecting the surface roughness of automotive pillars; 3. Data Processing: Screen out the non-conforming detection results of automotive pillar surface roughness for vehicle safety assessment. The incidence rate E of surface roughness issues for automotive pillars is calculated as E = M/N * 100%, where M is the number of non-conforming detection instances for automotive pillar surface roughness, and E is the total number of vehicles undergoing surface roughness testing for their pillars. The allowable range of pillar surface roughness is 0.8–12.5μm; specimens falling within this range are considered qualified, while those outside are unqualified; 4. Data Application: The non-conforming detection results of automotive pillar surface roughness can serve as a basis for automotive safety assessment, providing technical support for regulatory authorities in their regulatory work.
