Complete genome sequence of Limonium orthotospovirus 1, a novel orthotospovirus identified in Limonium sinuatum from Colombia

Detection of a novel Orthotospovirus in stacice (Limonium sinuatum) from Colombia, provisionally named Orthotospovirus limonii (Limonium orthotospovirus 1; LOV1). Phylogenetic analysis indicated that OLV1 belongs to the American clade. The assembled genome is 8839 (L), 4755, (M), 2975 (S) nt and encodes 5 open reading frames. The nucleocapsid protein (N) from the S segment displays less then 64% amino acid sequence identity to other orthotospoviruses.
