The purpose of this project was to sequence the genomes of human gut native probiotics that have demonstrated capacities to suppress the growth of gram-negative antimicrobial resistant pathogens. We sequenced the genomes of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens to establish their genotypic resistomes and to help us identify potential mechanisms for further exploration of how probiotics suppress pathogen growth.
