Here we present a study of replicate sexual and asexual populations of diploid S. cerevisiae adapting to an environment that fluctuates between two environmental conditions, 1M NaCl and 38.5degreesC. We carried out whole population sequencing after 1400 generations for 12 replicate populations, every 60 generations all populations underwent sexual reproduction. 6 of the 12 populations were constructed to be spo11/spo13 mutants that makes them unable to undergo meiosis.
