AD model was established by bilateral intracerebroventricular injection of streptozotocin. 36 rats randomly divided into 6 groups: sham-operated group, model group, Danggui-Shaoyao-san (DSS) group, and 3 DSS decomposed recipes groups. Cognitive ability of rats was evaluated by water maze and open field experiments. Nissl staining was performed to examine the neurons in the hippocampal region. Western blot analysis was conducted to determine the expression of synaptoprotein. Furthermore, 16S rDNA high-throughput sequencing was employed to analyze the intestinal flora composition.
