Evaluation of B73xPT BC1S5

Phenotypic data:Evaluation 97 of B73 x Palomero Toluqueño BC1S5 families (B73 as recurrent parent), their parentals and other genotypes used as checks in lowland (Valle de Balderas, PV, 165 m.a.s.l.) and highland (Metepec, MT, 2600 m.a.s.l.) environments, collected from 2015 to 2019. Linear mixed effects models were fitted using the ‘lme4’ package in R for each phenotypic trait. The overall mean and location were included as fixed effects, whereas the effect of year, genotype, genotype by location interaction, and blocks nested within location were included as random effects. The ‘ranef’ function in the ‘lme4’ function was used to extract Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) values for both genotype and genotype by location interaction terms. Fitted values for genotypes were calculated as the grand mean plus associated BLUP values for each phenotypic trait, and fitted values for genotypes in two locations were calculated as the sum of location mean, BLUP values for each genotype, and BLUP values for the genotype by location interaction. <br>Genotype data and genetic map:Genotypic data and genetic map for 97 BC1S5 B73 x Palomero Toluqueño families. The genotyping was made with DArT-Seq; and the SNPs were curated with TASSEL5 and r-qtl. The genetic map distance was estimated with ASMAP.<br>
