Inventory of New Jersey's surf clam (Spisula solidissima) resource

Beginning in 1988, New Jersey's inshore surf clam (Spisula solidissima) resource had been surveyed by the Bureau of Shellfisheries once annually each summer. This report focuses mainly on the results of the 2003 survey with comparisons to results of the 2000, 2001 and 2002 surveys as well as data collected in prior years. From June 2, 2003 through August 23, 2003, a total of 328 stations were sampled during the survey corresponding to 2003. Grant no. NA06FI0283
