资源简介:
Rapid sequencing of 'the Critically Endangered' Dipterocarpus littoralis as part of the ORG.one project https://org.one/oo. The United Nations (UN) in 2019 declared the UN Decade for Ecosystem Restoration which simply, easily and inexpensively can be done by planting large-scale trees. Selection of native tree species in ecosystem restoration requires basic knowledge of the genetic information of each species to avoid planting failure in the field which is still quite high globally at 40%. However, genetic information on forest trees from Indonesia, especially genomic data, is still very limited. Therefore, efforts and initiatives to carry out complete genome sequencing of high priority forest trees native to Indonesia are urgently needed, one of which is the critically endangered (CR) species, Dipterocarpus littoralis (Bl.) Kurz (Dipterocarpaceae) or locally known as pelahlar, which endemic to Nusakambangan Island, Central Java, Indonesia.
