Metagenomes from the East Sea

The goal of this project is to analyze seasonal variation of prokaryotic community in coastal areas of the East Sea, a marginal sea of the Northwestern Pacific, by metagenome sequencing. Surface seawater samples were collected monthly for a year from coastal areas of the East Sea. The collected water samples were filtered onto 0.2-um pore size membrane filters. DNA was extracted from the filters. Metagenome sequencing was performed using Illumina platform (2 * 250 bp).
