A live attenuated Salmonella Typhimurium vaccine, BBS 866, has been shown to be cross-protective against multiple strains and serogroups of nontyphoidal Salmonella in both turkeys and swine. In this study, we evaluated Salmonella vaccine strain BBS 1134 866 (a kanamycin sensitive derivative of BBS 866) for reduction of colonization and dissemination of DSC S. Enteritidis in broiler chickens.
