Calpain mediated cleavage transforms the full-length junctophilin 2 (JP2) from a structural protein into a transcriptional regulator (JP2 N-terminal trancate - JP2NT). We used affymetrix Genechip to reveal the differentially expressed transcripts induced by overexpression of JP2NT and JP2 in adult cultured mouse cardiomyocytes. Overall design: Adult mouse ventricle cardiomyocytes were isolated and cultured. JP2 and JP2NT were expressed in these cells via Adenovirus. Empty adenovirus infected cells were used as control.
