Subglacial Hydropotential of Antarctica

Antarctic subglacial gridded hydropotential (hydraulic potential) calculated using Shreve (1972) hydropotential equation using BedMachine Antarctica bed and ice topographies and firn air content (Morlighem et al., 2020; Morlighem, 2022). The dataset provides calculated hydropotential computed at 500 m resolution in EPSG:3031 (Polar Stereographic South) projection. The hydropotential is provided in kilopascals (kPa) and is distributed in both chunked NetCDF4 and cloud-optimized Zarr formats.
