Description
The data.txt file is a tab-separated text file. This file contains a record for each fungal species identified by Sanger Sequencing in this study. For each record, the following information is given:

Genus Name = name of fungal genus

Species Name = name of fungal species

GenBank Nearest Match = GenBank accession number for best match

Proportionate Abundance, Field Survey = proportion of mycorrhizal field survey root tips identified as this species

Proportionate Abundance, Bioassay = proportion of mycorrhizal bioassay root tips identified as this species

Ectomycorrhizal Status = designation as either mycorrhizal or non-mycorrhizal based on Comandini et al. (2012) as described in methods in main text

Native Status = designation as either native or non-native based on the NZFungi database, the GenBank reported location of the closest matching sequence, and lists of McKenzie et al. (2000) and Orlovich and Cairney (2004), as described in methods in main text

Endemic Status = designation as either endemic or non-endemic based on the NZFungi database, the GenBank reported location of the closest matching sequence, and lists of McKenzie et al. (2000) and Orlovich and Cairney (2004), as described in methods in main text
