Datasets for Morphological and Molecular characterization of Purple-Fleshed Sweet potato genotypes in Tanzania

This dataset contains morphological and molecular characterization data of purple-fleshed sweet potato (PFSP) genotypes evaluated in Tanzania. Morphological data include both qualitative and quantitative traits collected under field conditions. Molecular data were generated using SSR markers, with allele profiles obtained from capillary electrophoresis electropherograms (PDF files). Allele sizes were subsequently scored and binned into discrete classes (Excel file) for genetic diversity and population structure analyses. The dataset supports studies on germplasm characterizatio, germplasm management, and breeding of PFSP genotypes.
