Seismicity Catalogs for the 2025 USGS National Seismic Hazard Model for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands

This dataset contains the seismicity catalogs used in the 2025 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Seismic Hazard Model (NSHM) for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The full seismicity catalog was developed using the same methodology as used in past NSHM catalogs (Mueller, 2019), which includes formatting and merging input catalogs, removing duplicates and non-tectonic events, converting events to moment magnitude, and including parameters for computing unbiased seismicity rates. The full catalog was then separated by tectonic regime (crustal, interface, intraslab, outer rise) and declustered (removal of dependent events, i.e., foreshocks and aftershocks).
