The price survey of strawberry (1kg) in Tokyo Metropolitan area supermarkets resulted in an average price of 1,942 yen in May 2024. This is 76 yen cheaper than the national average of 2,018 yen. The highest price recorded for strawberries in the Tokyo Metropolitan area during the period from January 2015 to May 2024 (a span of 59 months) was 2,892 yen in December 2023, while the lowest price was 1,510 yen in May 2015. The price difference between the peak and trough periods for strawberries in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, namely from December 2023 (highest price) to May 2015 (lowest price), is 76 yen.
