This dataset is the digitization of the 1:10 million map of permafrost regionalization and types in China (Qiu et al., 2000; Zhou et al., 2000). It adopts a dual system of regionalization and classification, where both the regionalization framework and the classification system are employed on the same map to illustrate the commonalities and distinct characteristics of permafrost formation and distribution across all hierarchical levels.
