The aim of this study was to isolate marine Pseudoalteromonas and evaluate in vitro antagonistic activity with shrimp pathogenic Vibrio parahaemolyticus (AHPND) strains; and determine the survival of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei fed with a diet covered with these bacteria. The relevance of this study is about to explore new alternatives for control shrimp bacterial diseases, and at genomic level we can explore features involved in bioactive or antimicrobial production, metabolism and adaptation. Here we present the first draft genome sequence of Pseudoalteromonas piscicida strain 36Y_RITHPW reported in Mexico.
