资源简介:
In late 1993 and early 1994, the US Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District, assisted Patrick Air force Base by conducting a Section 6 Summary, as required by Public Law 101-601 (the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act), and a survey of archaeological collections and associated documentation recovered from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Three facilities-Cape Canaveral Air Force Station: New South Associates, Stone Mountain Georgia; and the Florida Division of Historic Resources, Bureau of Archaeological Research, Tallahassee-were visited by St. Louis District personnel. Approximately 12 ft of artifacts and three linear feet of associated records were examined to locate the presence of unassociated funerary objects, objects of cultural patrimony, or sacred objects and to evaluate the current condition of Cape Canaveral archaeological materials. No Section 6 Summary items were found, and it was determined that all Cape Canaveral collections require at least partial rehabilitation to comply with Federal regulations.
