Characterization tests of 3rd generation elastomeric dampers

Characterization tests of the 2nd generation elastomeric dampers are documented in experiment 2 and experiment 3 folders. As mentioned in report of these experiments, the 2nd generation elastomeric damper did not achieve the desired pre- compression force on thin layer. The third generation elastomeric damper was designed to overcome this problem. HSS5*5*5/16 was used as the outer tube instead of HSS5*5*1/4 that was used in the 2nd generation elastomeric damper. Also a duro 60 elastomeric material was used instead of duro 50 to increase damping and stiffness.
