Effect of Resveratrol on Gut Microbiome in Colorectal Cancer

We investigated the effect of resveratrol in an inflammation-induced murine model of CRC (AOM/DSS). Resveratrol altered the gut microbiome and increased short chain fatty acid (SCFA) butyrate. Together, these data suggest that resveratrol-mediated shifts in T cells may result from alterations in the gut microbiome, leading to attenuation of inflammation-driven CRC.​
