Microbiomes in mudflat intertidal

The mudflat intertidal samples used for analyses in this study were collected from a typical mudflat intertidal zone located in Qingdao, China, in June of 2021. To survey the background pools of regional microbial diversity, a nested sampling scheme was designed. In this sampling scheme, multiple sampling areas were set with different radii (1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 m) from a central point.
