Animals specializing on different hosts may undergo genomic differentiation, potentially as a first step towards speculation. Edith's checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha) shows a wide range of adaptive behaviors towards different host plants used by different populations. This project aims to identify the genomic underpinning of host-associated differentiation in this species.
