We conducted an experiment using a consortia with excellent biohydrogen production capabilities as the inoculum and utilizing food waste as a substrate in a high-temperature Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR). The objective was to analyze the dominance of thermophilic bacteria, hydrogen production rates, volatile fatty acids, and their correlation with metabolic pathways. Through this analysis, we aim to identify bacteria directly or indirectly involved in hydrogen production, shedding light on their specific contributions to the overall process. The findings are expected to provide insights into the key bacteria influencing hydrogen production and their respective roles in the metabolic pathways.
