Thrips transmitted Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) is a major constraint to peanut production in the United States. Management of TSWV is predominantly through the use of resistant genotypes. However, molecular mechanisms underlying TSWV resistance in resistant genotypes are unknown. In this study, we compared transcriptomes of TSWV-infected and non-infected TSWV-susceptible (SunOleic) and -resistant (Tifguard) peanut genotypes and identified differentially expressed (DE) contigs within and between genotypes.
