In the present study, the resistant sour orange(Citrus aurantium) and the susceptible Madam Vinous (C. sinensis) were inoculated with a virulent strain of Phytophthora nicotianae, the main pathogens of Citrus.Stem tissues were sampled at selected time-points, matching with biotrophic andnecrotrophic phases of the plant-host interaction, to study their transcriptomic profiles.
