Expanding the Population of Short Gamma-Ray Transients with a Coherent Fermi/GBM Search: 13-Year Catalog OverviewThis repository contains the complete trigger catalog and posterior samples generated from an archival search for short gamma-ray bursts (sGRBs) over 13 years (2013-2025) of Fermi/GBM data. The search utilizes a fully coherent Poisson matched-filter pipeline across all detectors and energy channels. Files- perera_et_al_2026_gbm_grb_catalog.csv: The complete 13-year trigger catalog containing all derived parameters and classifications.- perera_et_al_2026_posterior_samples.tar.gz: The MCMC chains for candidate triggers with a calibrated signal-to-noise ratio squared (SNR^2 >= 50). Note: The individual posterior sample files within this archive are indexed by their corresponding row index in the pipeline_GRB_catalog.csv file. Data description (perera_et_al_2026_gbm_grb_catalog.csv)- trigtime: The trigger time of the transient in UTC.- duration: The duration of the search boxcar template (in seconds) that maximized the detection test statistic.- search_binning: The time resolution of the TTE data segment used during the initial search pipeline (either 1 ms or 10 ms).- slc_index: The internal index of the data slice analyzed by the pipeline. This information was added for the reproducibility of the results. Relevant only for search_binning == 0.001 sec.- pe_duration: The refined peak-flux duration (in seconds) derived during the parameter estimation stage.- snr: The calibrated, drift-corrected Poisson matched-filter signal-to-noise ratio from the detection pipeline. Reported in units of standard normal distribution sigma.- pastro: The probability of astrophysical origin (p_astro).- FAR: The false alarm rate of the trigger, in units of Hz. Calculated assuming 65% livetime of GBM over 13 years.- bat_snr: The test statistic (rho_bat) resulting from the Swift/BAT targeted follow-up search. Reported in units of standard normal distribution sigma.- pbat: The probability that a temporally coincident signal in Swift/BAT is a genuine joint detection (p_bat).- classification: The source class assigned to the trigger by our decision tree framework (e.g., GRB1).- gbm_catalog: The identifier of a temporally coincident event in the standard GBM catalog.- ra_median, dec_median: The median values of the marginalized posterior distribution for the Right Ascension and Declination (in degrees).- ra_err_plus, dec_err_plus: The positive 1-sigma error bounds for the median values of the marginalized posterior distribution for the Right Ascension and Declination (in degrees).- ra_err_minus, dec_err_minus: The negative 1-sigma error bounds for the median values of the marginalized posterior distribution for the Right Ascension and Declination (in degrees).- band_epeak_median, band_alpha_median, band_beta_median: The median values of the marginalized posterior for the Band function spectral parameters (E_peak in keV, alpha, and beta).- band_epeak_err_plus, band_alpha_err_plus, band_beta_err_plus: The positive 1-sigma error bounds for the median values of the marginalized posterior for the Band function spectral parameters (E_peak in keV, alpha, and beta).- band_epeak_err_minus, band_alpha_err_minus, band_beta_err_minus: The negative 1-sigma error bounds for the median values of the marginalized posterior for the Band function spectral parameters (E_peak in keV, alpha, and beta).- ra_max, dec_max: The Maximum Likelihood Estimates (MLE) for the sky position.- band_epeak_max, band_alpha_max, band_beta_max: The Maximum Likelihood Estimates (MLE) for the Band function spectral parameters.- earth_bayes_factor: A statistical measure quantifying the probability of the trigger originating from the Earth.- sun_bayes_factor: A statistical measure quantifying the probability of the trigger originating from the Sun.
