Show that randomization can negatively affect multivariate data analysis methods such as dimensionality reduction, clustering and network reconstruction algorithms.
Conclusion:
Randomization should be used only for visualization purposes, and never in conjunction with high-dimensional analytical tools.
Notes:
The fcs files refer to the same PBMC data after normalization and Type 1 and Type 2 randomization (see manuscript for details).
