Metagenomic sequences of East China sea shelf sediments

This study collected sediment cores from the East China Sea continental shelf and performed metagenomic sequencing on samples ranging from the muddy area of the Yangtze River Estuary to the sandy area of the outer shelf. It aims to investigate the variations in microbial communities between muddy and sandy sediments, thereby enhancing our understanding of biogeochemical cycles under different sedimentary environments.
