Chemotherapy is the mainstay treatment for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC); however, development of resistance is a major obstacle. To identify novel targets that could re-sensitize TNBC to standard chemotherapy, we developed chemoresistant TNBC xenografts in vivo using TNBC cell line MDA-MB-231, then performed whole transcriptome sequencing and downstream pathway analysis. We identified a clinically relevant drug target, lysyl oxidase (LOX) as a mediator of chemoresistance.
