Transcriptome sequencing of Limnoperna fortunei foot tissue
收藏资源简介:
Here, we firstly investigated the effects of low-temperature stresses (15 degrees celsius and 5 degrees celsius) on byssus adhesion in the golden mussel L. fortunei. We subsequently assessed byssus adhesion rate, byssus production, byssus adhesion strength, foot gland morphology, enzyme activities, as well as transcriptomic and metabolomic profiles in golden mussels exposed to these two levels of low temperatures. This integrated approach aims to reveal the multidimensional (morphological, physicochemical, celluar, and molecular) mechanisms underlying low temperature-induced byssus adhesion alteration. These results are respected to offer mechanistic insight into the influencing mechanisms of low temperature on byssus adhesion of freshwater fouling mussels and support the potential use of low-temperature conditions as an eco-friendly strategy to mitigate mussel biofouling in aquatic ecosystems.
