Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) affects 11% of the European population and is characterized by a poorly understood multifactorial aetiology. Differences in bacterial diversity have been observed between healthy individuals and those with CRS, suggesting that the endonasal microbiome may play a role in the disease's pathophysiology. This study aimed to investigate the evolution of the endonasal microbiome in CRS patients treated either medically or surgically.
