Whole-genome resequencing of Trichoderma simmonsii

This study aims to conduct whole-genome resequencing of Trichoderma simmonsii, a fungus isolated from an industrial wasteland in Vieux-Charmont, France, by Jordan Collot at the Michel Chalot laboratory, Universite Bourgogne Franche-Comte. As part of the EU HORIZON-BIOSYSMO project, this research seeks to elucidate the genetic mechanisms underlying the heavy metal tolerance of T. simmonsii. By comprehensively analyzing its genome, the study intends to identify genes and pathways that contribute to its resilience in contaminated environments, providing insights that could advance bioremediation strategies and improve our understanding of fungal adaptation to extreme conditions.
